Oh hey! My name is Ash. Here’s 3 fun facts about me:
I am a UX/UI designer currently working at the Ministry of Social Development. After graduating from Yoobee School of Design with a Diploma in Web Development and UX Design, I began my career as a software developer for a mobile apps company. This was a fab opportunity, however I quickly realised I was limited to creativity and to be frank, I craved more variety. I decided to move into a design role and scored my current role at MSD. I feel very grateful to have found my passion so early in my career.
I love that for a living, I get to improve the lives of others through great design. I embrace user feedback and turning it into the best and most usable solution to their needs. I take a user centric approach in all my work, following best practises and usability/accessibility standards to ensure everyone can have the best experience possible. I have always naturally had an eye for design, so alongside creating fabulous experiences, I am passionate about topping my UX work off with beautiful interfaces. I care about the details right from ideation, through to production. Sometimes I dabble in front end development - I actually made this site from scratch!
I am the girl in the office who is full of energy, can be spotted in hot pink pants and probably leads the social club. I’m very much a people person, so collaborative working and being a part of a team is my jam. I thrive in fast paced environments, don't take life too seriously, and enjoy having fun while creating beautiful, usable and intuitive products.
